Land of white powder and mixed cultures.................

Yes......for the second time it has been a while since I have been in blogger nation. Well, I had s!$# to do!
My recent class trip to Peru has shown me a list of things, hence the following....:

1. Cocaine is a powerful drug!...nearly once a day I was offered to buy some blow from average street people, and even a resturant owner, who became to cool, to fast!......i quote "My man! you want the coca?, I got the best coca, and the best women!"

2. Sometimes two people are saying the same thing, but still dont understand each other!

3. Before you marry your significant other, take a trip out of the country for 2 weeks, to really get to know who you are about to commit to..

4. Slavery was more powerful than we realize. I met some Afro-Peruvians who were happy to see African Americans.

5. Sometimes people lower the inhibitions without the consumption of alcohol.

6. Never depend on someone else for to much.

7. Americans can never complain about what they dont have. You can always make something out of nothing.

8. Peruvian women are buetiful, but nine times out of ten they are mixed with either Chineas, or African.

9. Just because it looks like a club, does not mean it's a club! Modern day brothels do exist!

10. Racism sucks!

11. How free you feel being away from modern forms of communication. (the Cell Phone)

12. Some people just are not made for traveling.

Finally its gets personal........

I am not: the stereotyped african american male
I hate: people who do one thing and say antoher

I write: like an architect, all caps and with my own style.

I breathe: the vital thing that keeps me going(oxygen)
I play: basketball, golf, and playstation
I miss: my days in highschool when the only thing i had to worry about was being cool, and what girl had a crush on me at the moment
I search: for self improvement, and a deeper level of faith
I say: radom misfit thougths, but when are thought about have points and validity. I also say ignorant things that even suprise my self.
I feel: like having certain words with people that i encounter daily who are assholes and pricks!( yes i said it....prick!!)
I succeed: at damn near anything i put my mind to and take seriously
I fail: when i dont prepare and become lazy

I dream: about what is in store for me in the future.

I can't: imagine the day when i have children of my own
I stay: on the phone with my girlfriend, and infront of a computer working on what they call a thesis..

Tainted View.........

One of my freinds and I were in conversation about how for him religion has given him a tainted view, thus why he does follow the christian "path or principles". On the stage front he was saying the Ma$e(a rapper) seems to have discreted himself for his recent associations to G-Unit. For someone who left the world of Rap to follow the path of the lord, for him to make such a moves seems to be VERY questionable. If we think about this.......this taints alot of peoples views of religion. Hence my freind. Now on the lower level, I know that christians backslide, because no one is perfect, but should there not be more of a concious effort for those who have made the self proclaim that they are followeres of the word. People of who I work with everyday for the last five years have shown me a trend that does not coincide with what they put out on the religious front. I never paid it much attention, put as my freind pointed this out. He was saying for the person, who is question, to be on the proclaimed christian way, there has been alot of pretentious backbiting, and selfishness for some time now. He feels that the person in question should stop saying one thing and do another. The first thing I thought about was "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Its funny how as you get older, small things like that phrase you learn from your parents and church, have more importance as the days go by.
(**alot of info was left out in ths post to keep from directly implicating the person in question**)

The moral of the post is, do you feel you have a tainted view of religion like my friend because of people that talk the talk, but dont walk it?......More to come on this subject.

Them Boys in Blue......

My freinds and I have come to coin a phrase that states: "Youre out your tree...."

Have the boys in blue have not learned from past cases that uneeded citezen beating is just not the way to go. I just plain pisses me off, and is sad that my first television image was an African American male getting pounced on by the local Louisiana authorities. Have the police not learned from the King incedent in California? It seems to me that in a city ingulfed in their own turmoil, that a beating is not the icing on the cake. "They" warrant such actions due to public intoxication. Hello!!!!!!!!! Is this not the same city that has been hosting Mardi Gras year after year? Isn't this a city that has a known association to drinking a parties on Bourbon(sp) street? You would think that the police would be used to such a thing by now? I guess not!?! I wont be like many other people and pull the race card, but all I will say is that the city is on pins and needles as to how they handle this, or they will see the full affect of looting in the streets!

(Song that jumps in to my mind is "We're not gonna take it!"....

in this case, the POLICE are "out there tree for this one!"
And your take would be??????

Axis of Powers

In the recent days for the second time, the Federal Government has decided to stick there nose in the happenings of baseball and steriod controversy. I for one will be the first to agree that there should be some kind of stipulation and punishment for being caught for the use of the juice. But for me the line was crossed when the government see the need to take action before MLB has. I think there are a lot more issues within our government system to be taken with more seriousness than the juice in MLB. Can my gas get lowerd first?

You might ask what are the other issues that should be considered over steriods?

And the servey says: "I dont know......."

Thus my asnswer would seem to deflate my arguement, but give me some time I will provide some for you. But I am only keeping to tru to my page, Misfit thoughts...

What is your take AMERICA??

My First...

This first entry is to bring me into the world of blogging. I was inspired to bring my thoughts to the table and let them be known, and recieve opinions of such.

This goes out to you, Random Thoughts of a Black Man, who is the ring leader of random and misfit thoughts that from time to time have valid points and arguements.

And so it shall begin!!!!
